Although I shot these two (with my camera), from my bathroom window, these parakeets are more likely to be pining for the mountains of Northern India, rather than the fjords of Norway.
If you haven't seen or heard the thriving population of these exotic birds flying and squawking all over South London, you must have been hiding under a rock.
It is still a mystery as to how they got here. There is a story about Jimi Hendrix releasing a pair into one of the London parks. Another story tells of some being released at the Pinewood Studios in Teddington to give an exotic feel for the filming of "The African Queen". I believe they made their way through a portal, but that's just my opinion.
